In August 2000, John & I were married. We were married in a very small ceremony on Gabriola Island. For our Honeymoon, we ventured over to Vancouver Island to take some short day trips. One of our trips was to Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park.
We spent a better part of the day there walking the paths and taking in all the wonderful environment. These pictures show just how amazing the park is.
The Little Qualicum Falls campground and day-use area is located 19 km west of Parksville on central Vancouver Island, on Highway 4. The Cameron Lake day-use area is located 23 km west of Parksville on Highway 4. The Beaufort day-use area is located 25 km west of Parksville on Hwy 4. Nearby communities include: Coombs, Parksville, Qualicum, Port Alberni
Established as a park in 1940 to protect the old growth Douglas-fir forest and the associated plant communities as well as the area around the river and the waterfalls.

As the park is full of wildlife it is best to ensure you have read all the safety information before heading into the park. It is still a wild area full of amazing creatures. Be prepared - act smart and enjoy your time there. We sure did.
I would recommend this trip to all Nature lovers alike. I have put the park back on my visit again list which is continually growing.
Enjoy the pictures of the park - and let us know if you if you get the opportunity to visit Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park
